Who are Electrolightz? Their very name brings energy and excitement to mind. If you are a realist, you may imagine Electrolightz in terms of science –as small as a spark or as massive and brilliant as lightning. If you are a romantic, Electrolightz may sound like a metaphorical measurement to your existential make-up. But if sound is the sense that has the most direct path to your pulse, Electrolightz are exactly what you’d imagine: magnetic, dynamic and progressive.

Electrolightz veer toward the latest movement of high energy club driven electro-hippop in the vain of LMFAO, Mike Posner, and Far East Movement; and in fact, they’ve had the privilege of opening for each of these groups. However, they are conscious to keep themselves on the cutting edge of this movement, careful not to surrender to gimmicks. Self-described as “a party outside of the box,” they have found their own authentic voice in this electro-pop scene. Their sound is more diverse, ranging from influences such as Depeche Mode, Cut Copy, Daft Punk, Kanye West and Maroon 5. And they tend to stray from typical party themes, instead delving deeper into the psyche to leave a lasting impression.

The band first gained notoriety as official Interscope remixers, taking on heavyweights including Lady Gaga, Flo Rida, La Roux, Keri Hilson, and Mary J. Blige. They found a hungry audience and keenly used this recognition as a jumping off point to share their own creations, starting with the debut full length It Happened Over Night, and more recently the free mix tape Bang With The Lightz On. Their music quickly turned heads, and in particular found a fan in Vincent Herbert (the man behind Lady Gaga), who immediately signed them to a Universal Publishing deal.

Electrolightz are irresistible, especially live. The energy this group leaves on the stage is surely enough voltage to blow your mind. They thrive on connecting with their fans, and most importantly, they live to see them let go and dance, a notion that they understand serves a greater social purpose in these tough times.

So, who are Electrolightz? They are the combined forces of three distinctly

accomplished artists. Singer Rami Dearest is the son of renowned violinist Itzhak

Perlman and fronted the indie rock band Something for Rockets who were featured on MTV, as well as college and indie radio stations across the nation. Rapper Namebrand gained his chops as the protégé of notorious hip-hop artist Rass Kass, with whom he traveled the world on tour alongside legendary rapper Rakim. He spent these formative years fine-tuning a style that is uniquely witty, innovative, and fresh. Producer eRoc found early success producing hip hop heavyweights 50 Cent, Young Buck, Pitbull, Chamillionaire and Method Man, among others. He became the leading composer for EA Sports games like Madden, NBA Live, and Tony Hawk Underground, for which he was honored with the VGA’s Best Soundtrack award. Together, they complement their mutual talent and diverse backgrounds with a genuine friendship to form this dynamic collaboration.

The Electrolightz are on to something big. By pushing the boundaries of tradition, they propel pop music to new heights. And yet, they have only just begun to tap into a wealth of talent, ideas and genuine artistry that will ensure they leave their stamp in modern music. You will no doubt be hearing more from this band, so keep your ears peeled, your mind open, and your dancing shoes on.
