Rick Garcia is the artist, designer and creator for Save The Panduhs clothing brand. Originally a graffiti artist, Rick used his love for Disney, his passion for saving the pandas and his talent to put together a fun and creative clothing collection.
What I enjoy about Rick’s designs are his unique take on many Disney classics that I’ve grown up on. On his website you can find a variety of amazing drawings, stickers and clothing items that can bring a smile to a person of any age. I had the chance to interview Rick on his work and how he is using his talent to give back to great causes and organizations.
This is his story…
What can you share about your involvement with WWF (World Wide Fund) and how important is it to you to be a part of saving the pandas?
I have been donating a percentage of profits to WWF and the San Diego Zoo. My main focus of my brand is to spread the awareness of the panda being endangered and coming close to extinction. I like to try and help other causes too, for example, I also do fundraisers for cancer, mainly because my brother is a survivor but I also have other survivors in my family. I also do bike marathons where we raise money for children’s hospitals. I help in every little way I can.
