Best news ever... I am such a huge John Mayer fan I'm so happy!
John Mayer is getting back on the road.
The singer has announced his first tour in more than three years.
Beginning in July, Mayer will play more than 40 shows in four countries before wrapping things up at the Hollywood Bowl in October.

"American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips will open on most dates, with other acts to be announced.
Last March, Mayer was forced to cancel his scheduled tour due to the re-growth of a granuloma by his vocal chord.
Now recoevered, he tells Billboard, which first reported the new tour, "The greatest gift I have in my life is the opportunity to play again, which is also the opportunity to dream again."
"My dreams were in escrow, but when I found out this thing in my throat had receded, the most exciting thing for me was having a second chance at a new life," explains the crooner. "My dreams have come true twice. That's really cool."
