As New Jersey struggles to pick up the pieces in the devastating aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, the Seaside Heights, N.J. pad that Snooki and her Jersey Shore cast mates called home is still standing. "Sandy destroyed Seaside -- our second home," costar Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi said in a statement to MTV News Oct. 30. "It's devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm." Read more.

Star Wars #7 Movie Is Coming

...but you'll have to wait until 2015
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the Walt Disney Company announced that it is purchasing Lucasfilm, Star Wars creator George Lucas' production company, in a deal valued at $4.05 billion. As part of the deal, Disney plans to release a new Star Wars movie, Episode VII, in 2015, with additional films to follow "every two to three years" after, Disney chairman Bob Iger said in a conference call, adding that there is "an extensive and detailed treatment for the next three movies."
