My friends and I frequent dive bars, happy hours, local concerts and cozy cafes. My lifestyle doesn’t usually require sparkle, tight dresses and platforms, however, I have to consider my height. I’m only 5’1. While getting ready, I battle same daunting question, “Should I wear heels?”

My most recent purchase landed me a pair of the perfect go-between shoe – the loafer. I’m in loaf.

Style gurus like Alexa Chung, Katie Holmes, Olivia Palermo, Kate Moss and Jessica Biel have been seen wearing the stereotypically masculine loafer making them sexy for women. So step aside boys, because loafers looks even better on us.

As the weather turns crisp layer your loafers with a chuncky cable-knit sweater, ankle trousers and slouchy sock.

I love the Lanvin ‘Boyish’ Slipper (top, left); it’s the perfect balance between masculine and feminine.

Studs and glitter might be the hottest shoe trend of the season. The Christian Loubouton Rollerball Studded Loafers (above, right) in black  and the Miu Miu Glitter Tassel Loafer (left) would really stand out over a pair of tights and flirty fall dress.
