Prior to filming, the actress undertook an intense depravation diet in order to realistically portray Fantine, a prostitute dying of tuberculosis. "I'm doing some crazy weight stuff right now," Hathaway, 29, tells Allure's July issue. "I'm on day six of detox." To add insult to injury, her restricted eating plan wreaked havoc on her skin. "This diet makes me break out, so I love that," she gripes. "Nothing like living on hummus and radishes and then be all, 'And I got a pimple. Yeah!'" Read more.

Anna Nicole's Daughter Asks About her Mommy...

On a recent visit to the Bahamas, Larry Birkhead's daughter  asked her father some tough questions about her late mother Anna Nicole Smith, who is buried in the Bahamas along with her son Daniel Wayne Smith.

Here's what the father said she asked:

“Why did mommy die? And I said 'You know, the doctors couldn't fix her. But if you're good … you'll get to see her someday.'” Read more.

The Story Behind Wide Awake

That's so crazy how it all JUST happened so quick.

In an MTV interview that airs on Tuesday, Katy Perry opens up aboutPart of Me, her divorce, and her song writing process in general. The studio needed a track for the film's closing credits and KP just sat down and hashed out the perfect tune!!

She explains:

"I love this song so much… It was a song that I hadn't written for Teenage Dream. I was doing this movie and they asked me if I wanted to write an end-title song for the movie and I was like, 'I know exactly what I want to say.' I was really kind of dying to write another song at that point. I didn't want to wait until I did a whole new record, and it's kind of the perfect last word of me at this moment." Read more.
