ON THIS WEEKS SHOW!!!

Take Me Home

Take Me Home is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that has been saving then lives of homeless animals for more than nine years. They work in conjunction with shelters and rescues throughout California and beyond to help save animals on death row, on the streets or in unsafe living conditions. Their team is driven by love, compassion and doing right by innocent animals who have no voice. All of their animals are spayed or neutered, brought up-to-date on all shots and are micro-chipped. If they pull an animal from a shelter, they ensure the animals are healthy before they go home. TMH also has an amazing foster program available for our special needs and older animals. TMH was established to help other people discover these special animals and to learn how to rescue them.

I'M IN CAMPAIGN WITH LAUSD

“I’M IN” is an exciting all-inclusive program by the Los Angeles Unified School District to raiseawareness about the District’s healthy meals to help fight childhood obesity, as well as to encourage student attendance and dropout prevention. The campaign is an invitation to the entire community to make healthy choices and support educational proficiency for all students. The District, which serves more than 650,000 meals daily, will release a new student-driven menu with a wellness program that will tie in proper eating and regular exercise. “I’M IN” will connect with students, parents, community groups, administrators, teachers and other L.A.-based organizations by asking them to get involved and help support the movement. The five-year program will include celebrity-sponsored student and community activities, public service announcements, food tasting events, social media, and traditional advertising in billboards, radio and print publications. “I’M IN” mission is to show students how to prepare outside the classroom to be at their best inside the classroom. It’s the promise students make to themselves to eat right, exercise, and get their proper rest so they can achieve great things in school.
