The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

The mission of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. To fulfill their mission they source and acquire food and other products and distribute to needy people through charitable agencies or directly through programs; Energize the community to get involved and support hunger relief; Conduct hunger education and awareness campaigns and advocate for public policies that alleviate hunger. Their vision is that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County.

Guests who bring a full bag
of non-perishable food items will receive a FREE park admission ticket to Six Flags Magic Mountain, good for that day. All donated food will be given to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Through the public's generous donations,
this drive continues to be one of the largest single-day food collection efforts for the Food Bank.

E.J. Jackson Foundation

Mr. Jackson is not only the founder and president of Jackson Limousine Service, he’s also a man with  tremendous heart. For 30 years he’s given away a turkey, with all the fixings for a full Thanksgiving dinner, to thousands of the needy in Los Angeles. 2011, was The E.J. Jackson Foundation's biggest turkey dinner give-away ever – with nearly 10,000 dinners given to the needy. It was also perhaps one of the largest in the country. Lined-up were: more families in need, more turkeys, more staff and volunteers, and more celebrities and community leaders on hand for the 29th Anniversary occasion.

GOBBLE GOBBLE GIVE

It started with one person and now a group of friends have shown up to help cook and deliver meals for the past 10 years – the first year, 28 homeless were fed! The next year more showed up and over fifty meals went out. The following year, they reached the 100 mark. Last year they were able to feed over 1,500 homeless in their neighborhood and leave them
with t-shirts, beanies, shoes, sweaters, and tooth brush kits.  Gobble Gobble Give has become an incredible example of what a community can do to make change.

You have just been invited to a party. It is a potluck party. Yes you haveto make a dish and bring it ready to eat. When you arrive you will help all the other people that have been invited put all the dishes into very nice, warm meals. And then you will do something very special. You will leave the party with a few of the other folks. You will take some of the meals with you, and
you will find homeless, hungry, people to feed. these people will be men, women, and yes children. They will be veterans, and school teachers. Husbands and wives. When you hand them their meal, with a small bag of warm clothes they will look at you and wonder who you are. You will smile and say Happy Thanksgiving, and then you will go home to your lovely family with a new perspective about life and Thanksgiving And I guarantee you this... We will see you again next year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
