THE PAINTED TURTLE
The Painted Turtle staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and supporters work year-round to give all children in our programs the chance just to be kids and have fun in a safe camp environment specifically built for their needs. Without The Painted Turtle, many of these children would never know the simple yet profound experience of camp, an experience that often has a life-long impact. Thousands of campers and family members have a chance to come together each year to sing, dance, laugh, grow and discover their potential.
EVENT: A Live Celebration of Carole King and Her Music

The legendary Carole King and her impact on the music world as an artist and a songwriter. Carole will perform from her legendary body of work and be joined on stage by an esteemed line-up of today’s premier artists gathered to salute her.
This star-studded event promises to sell out The Dolby Theatre’s 2,500 seats with a VIP audience of Los Angeles’ top entertainment, financial, and philanthropic leaders.

MOVEMBER
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Once registered at www.movember.com, men start Movember 1st clean shaven. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
At the end of the month, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas celebrate their gallantry and valor by either throwing their own Movember party or attending one of the infamous Gala Partés held around the world by Movember, for Movember.
Event: The end of Movember is marked across the US with a series of Gala Partés to thank our Mo Bros and Sistas for their outstanding fundraising efforts during the month of Movember.
