WHO: Our Next Up Artist of the Week is SYMON!
WHY: SYMON, born in Los Angeles, has been singing, writing, and performing since her early teen years. Her big break came at 16 when she and her band at the time (The New Officials) got the gig of a lifetime, opening for Demi Lovato's national tour.
SYMON's star power was apparent, as talent scouts from all sectors of the entertainment industry came knocking at her door. She soon began working with the legendary Andreas Carlsson (Celine Dion, *NSync, Britney Spears), who took her under his wing and developed her natural talent. Carlsson expanded SYMON's network of mentors, connecting her with some of the biggest names in the business, such as David Foster. After separating from the band to pursue a solo career, SYMON found the perfect home at Artbeatz Entertainment, founded by industry veteran Steven Zap and songwriter/producer Gino "Farrago" Barletta.
Fresh off her introduction to the world at the iHeart Radio summit, SYMON has been in the studio with co-writer and executive producer (Barletta, responsible for Top 10 hit, "Hide Away" by Daya), crafting her debut album. Combining island grooves with pop melodies and urban lyrical flavors, SYMON's music brings a unique and fresh sound to the airwaves. Her first single, "SAY," released through Artbeatz Entertainment, is now available.
