Lily Collins didn’t have to audition for her role when it came to playing Clary in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, and the actress is now revealing when it came to the music, she even offered her opinion as well!
Lilly tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest she suggested a lot of “strong young women” to be featured on the soundtrack, including hit maker Demi Lovato.
Lily shares although she threw out Demi’s name, she had never met the hit maker until running in to her at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards and she couldn’t have been more stoked.
“I finally met Demi the other night at the Teen Choice Awards and I said, ‘Dude thank you so much! Your song was perfect. It changed everything!’ It’s the best song and she was so lovely and so gracious and I’ve wanted to meet her forever and her song really does change everything in the moment it’s played.”
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which stars Collins as Clary, a teen who learns she descends from a line of warriors who protect the world from demons, hits theaters today.
